Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) President Fr. Jett Villarin, S.J. has announced the creation of the Ateneo Junior High School in line with the K+12 program recently signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III.
In his memo issued April 20, 2013, Fr. Villarin affirmed that the university has “been taking significant steps towards K+12 reform”. He explains further that revisions have been in the Basic Education Curriculum and the Enhanced Curriculum in preparation for school year 2013-2014. AdMU has also created a Basic Education Steering Committee and a Transition Management Team in order to guide and supervise the university’s transition to the K+12 program.
