On January 17, 2014, DZMM-TLC (Teaching, Learning, and Caring) held their sixth community outreach program activity in collaboration with Teach for the Philippines. DZMM-TLC, the public service arm of DZMM Teleradyo, has been holding the programs in our partner schools and their respective communities throughout the school year.
Members of the West Fairview Elementary School community arrived in the morning to receive medical, dental and optical care from booths set up in the school’s covered court. A mobile library was also on campus for students who wanted to go in and read books during the event.
Johnson Manabat, news anchor of Gising Pilipinas, conducted a read-along with a class of Grade 2 students. The Teach for the Philippines team was represented by Marketing & Events Officer Angel Ramos and Marketing & Social Media Associate Chiara Montinola, who participated by reading “Si Daginding: Ang Unang Daga sa Buwan”.
